The Center for Cities and Schools will develop and convene the California Department of Education roundtable on re-visioning school facility planning and design and produce a proceedings summary.

The purpose of the Roundtable is:

• to gain insight on the design of 21st century learning environments;
• to identify the best practices that strengthen the relationship between schools and communities in an effort to close the achievement gap, and
• to develop report to assist with California Code of Regulations, Title 5 Standards for School Design review and update.
