Speaker: Claus Bech-Danielsen
Bech-Danielsen, acting head of research at the Danish Building Research Institute, looks at three generations of Scandinavian sustainable construction, pointing out three types of environmental efforts in the built environment. In one, the environmental results are achieved through development of techniques. In another, the environmental results are achieved through changes in behavior, and in the third, the environmental results are achieved through architectural design. Important environmental results can be achieved in all three approaches - but they have to be combined.
