Elizabeth is a first year graduate student in the Department of City and Regional Planning. Before coming to Berkeley, she worked at a neighborhood community development agency on the southwest side of Chicago, building connections with local manufacturing companies as a part of a city-wide industrial retention initiative. She spent some of her last summer in Chicago teaching children how to write fairy tales, and hopes to continue passing that knowledge on in the future. Elizabeth received her BA from the University of Chicago in Law, Letters, and Society (a cross between legal theory and history). She grew up in Houston, TX, and is excited about getting to know a whole new region of the country.
