Colby Fisher is a Masters candidate at Berkeley’s Goldman School of Public Policy. Before attending Berkeley, she lived in Los Angeles and worked for a global investment firm’s corporate foundation where she managed grant-making for local and emerging market organizations. Colby also actively served on the Board of a center for Los Angeles homeless women and children including one year as the development chair. Concurrently, she helped build a grass-roots fundraising and volunteering arm for the organization that provides opportunities for philanthropically minded young professionals in Los Angeles.She continues to serve in an adviser capacity to both. During her time in Los Angeles, Colby worked to coordinate other volunteer groups within her company and throughout the community and continues to pursue her interest in economic development and sustainability while in grad school. She currently serves as an editor for the Goldman School’s policy journal, Policy Matters. Colby received her BA in Political Science from Wheaton College in Illinois.
