Chenghong Xu is an Associate Professor at the School of Economics, Southwestern University of Finance and Economics, in Chengdu, China. She teaches courses in regional, ecological and urban economics, as well as international economic relations. She is also a researcher affiliated with the West Center for Economic Research, in Chengdu. While at IURD she will research urban growth and housing prices in China and the US. She is also working on a study of regional disparity and roles that governments, industrial clusters, and nonprofit organizations can play in coordinating the efficiency and equity of regional development.
