Alexander is a first-year graduate student in the Department of City and Regional Planning. He has been living in the Bay Area for a year and a half working as an Analyst at Bay Area Economics. As an Analyst he conducted demographic and market research on issues ranging from neighborhood impacts of professional baseball and soccer stadiums to CEQA regulations of big-box retail development to military base re-use. Before moving to California, Alexander was an AmeriCorps VISTA in his home town of Seattle, WA, serving as the Outreach Coordinator for the White Center Community Development Association organizing with community groups to address issues of public safety, community capacity building and local governance.  Alexander has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics and Political Science from Swarthmore College.
